How Can I Increase Conversions for an Established Campaign?
You people and your anonymous questions!  Free links to anyone who submits a question - but you have to tell me where you want me to link.

This anonymous question asker said his website is Microsoft.com.  So in the effort to be honest, I'll link to Microsoft, and assume this question is from someone named "Bill".

Bill, I have this problem as well.  You have an old campaign that does decently well but you would like to increase the profitability somehow.  You can decrease your CPC, have the payout increased by your affiliate company, or you can tweak your landing page to get more conversions out of your existing clicks.

The latter of the three is what we are going to be discussing.  How can you increase conversions for an established campaign?  Adjust your landing page.

So Billy-Bob (since your anonymous, I can call you whatever I want, and you can't complain!), if you would like to make a little more cash, here is how you do it.

1. Dissect your current landing page.  What are the colors like? Is it user-friendly? Is there a form? Does it look spammy? Does it match the layout and color scheme of the affiliate?

2. Take the best aspects of your current landing page and do a complete redesign.  With this redesign you will hopefully see a percentage increase in conversions, even if it is just a small percentage.

3. Start at number 1.  If you do this once or twice you should ideally have increase the amount of conversions twice now.  You will reach a point that you cannot create any more conversions.  This point is what you are going for.  Once you reach that, there is nothing else you can do for this campaign from the landing page.

This method will only work if your new landing page is better than your old landing page.  You will know whether or not that is true by the conversion percentage.  If your conversion percentage immediately drops, stick with it for at least a full day.  I stick with my adjustments for a full week.  That way you have good stats and can evaluate what change the visitors did not like.

Hope that helps William!
