That means if you get 100 clicks and log into your account 10 minutes later, you might not see those clicks yet. However, if you go back the next day, you will definitely see those clicks.
Google says, "Reporting is not real-time. Clicks and impressions received in the last 3 hours may not be included here. There is a 24 hour delay in conversion tracking reporting. Time zone for all dates and times in data tables, reports, and billing: (GMT-08:00) Pacific Time. "
Yahoo! Search Marketing (Y!SM) only mentions conversion data, "...it might take a few days for clicks to translate into conversions."
MSN adCenter is similar in the slight delay of reporting statistics. If you click you ad to make sure it is working and the landing page is correct, keep in mind that you probably won't see that click for a short while, regardless of which PPC company you use!
