Jumpstart partners you with an AdWords specialist and helps you serve "expert-level" ads immediately.
From the Support pages at AdWords:
Jumpstart's primary purpose is to give you a solid foundation with AdWords. It's also intended to give you the momentum you need to continue your AdWords campaigns successfully on your own.
Jumpstart requires a minimum daily budget of $50 to get started. After you have started you can adjust your daily spending, but they recommend keeping a minimum of $50 daily budget.
Jumpstart has an initial cost of $299. However, they will credit that amount back to you in PPC advertising clicks. The $299 is good to use for a full 6 months even though at $50 a day you should spend it pretty quickly.
Jumpstart is only available for users in the US and Italy. Why Italy? I don't know, but I would expect that Google is looking to take this internationally but want to test it somewhere first. This will be a logistical nightmare trying to get the foreign languages matched with incoming callers.
The Jumpstart process looks pretty easy.
1. Fill out the application online.
2. Confirm details through email.
3. Wait for call from AdWords pro (2-5 business days).
4. Talk about goals, website, other promotion methods, and create campaign with AdWords pro.
5. Review campaign and start selling products or services with PPC.
Quick and easy. The best part seems to be the free (you get the initial cost back so you aren't actually spending any money) advice from the AdWords pro. You can't buy advice like this from Google, this is the only way to get it.
The Jumpstart specialist will write your initial ads, choose your keywords and set your CPC to match your budget. Basically you just come up with the cash and hold on for the ride!
