For now we'll talk about great tips for running a PPC video campaign. Here they are:
1. Are video ads for you?
Video ads aren't designed or everyone. Most click arbitrage sites won't benefit from running video ads. If you can answer "yes" to this question and you think you have what it takes to get a video made, then check out video ads from AdWords. Companies that will benefit from video ads are companies that already have brand recognition, but want to debut a new product. Companies that are new but have a marketable product or service would benefit from the brand promotion that can come from video ads.
2. Guage response daily.
If people watch your video ad, the will most likely click instantly. If you aren't receiving any new traffic, and traffic is your goal, stop and reconside your ad, ad placement, or video advertising all together.
If your goal is about your brand, then you will have a harder time guaging response. Try to take brand samples asking if people have seen the ad. If they have seen the ad, ask them what they remember about it. If they don't remember what you wanted them to, create a new ad and try running that one.
3. Stop the ad prematurely if it isn't working.
This is always hard for me. I like to run an ad for a full month before stopping it. However, if you are spending considerable money on this video ad, then think about stopping it if it isn't working.
No sense in continuing to spend money if your ad isn't doing what you want it to do. Find a better use for your money.
Put those tips to use and make some money with AdWords videos!
